Academics and Experience

My passion for writing began in high school, where I competed in speech forensics and performed original poetry. I carried that passion into college, earning my BA in English (Creative Writing) and my BFA in Writing and Applied Arts. During my time at UW–Green Bay, I published poems and short stories in the literary journal Sheepshead Review, along with humor pieces in Little Old Lady Comedy.

Through my internships and my work as my college’s social media manager, I gained valuable experience in program coordination, communication, and mentorship. Those roles showed me how much I enjoy helping people develop their skills and watching them grow, an experience that has inspired me to pursue graduate school. I also supported fellow students as a writing tutor, further reinforcing how meaningful that work is to me.
